As was the case with compact discs I have made no attempt to provide a comprehensive list of books about the Beatles. I don't have the shelf space (let alone the time!) to attempt such an undertaking. Nevertheless I have provided reviews on several books I have received in the past few years.
The Beatles Gear is an excellent example of a trend toward titles which focus on a specific aspect of the Beatles career, or in this case, the tools of their trade. And just when you thought you knew the Beatles history like the back of your hand along comes Sam Leach with his highly entertaining The Rocking City.
